Project Manager Sustainable Buildings

Vacancy: Project Manager Sustainable Buildings

Three reasons why this is your job:

  • Because you want to build with an eye for people and the environment;
  • You want to work towards a sustainable future;
  • and are able to advise carefully and creatively.

We only have one planet and as far as you’re concerned we’ll take care of her. Time’s up. As a Project Manager Sustainable Buildings, you will realise the sustainability ambitions of our clients. You will be based in Arnhem and will work on a number of high-profile projects throughout the Netherlands. And, if you have the ambition, also in Europe.

You are doing it

Thinking outside the box. That is what characterises you as a Project Manager Sustainable Buildings. As the pivot between designers, builders, the client and your project team, you keep everyone on edge. You ask critical questions of clients, contractors, developers and architects and you challenge existing ideas. This is because you know that only in this way can existing conventions make space for a new, more sustainable approach. We combine economic, social and spatial knowledge with social commitment and a careful working method. This is how we guarantee the quality that our clients expect of us.

You move with the flow of demand. A contractor who wants advice on the right building materials for a building already designed? An architect who requests modelling advice early on in the design process? The subjects vary, but one thing is certain: you know who has to take up each task within your project team, and when. You have a clear idea of the consequences of all the choices made during the design process. Your proposals leave no room for questions. It is always clear what is being delivered for what price and what certifications are applicable. Through our trend-setting projects, we work on a sustainable, safe and healthy living environment.

Who are you

As a Project Manager Sustainable Buildings, you are confident and stress-resistant. With your passion for sustainability, you also make others enthusiastic. You convince them with clear views, even if there is resistance. No matter how complex the issue, in the hectic rush of designing and modelling you are the navigator, and you have and keep the overview.

You assign subprojects to the junior architectural consultants, taking into account each one’s qualities and interests. Where one advisor focuses on an investigation into the effects of certain building materials, another looks into environmentally friendly flooring or into the opportunities for water-saving measures. You are a fan of practical solutions and feel responsible for a sound final result. And you know better than anyone that no one knows it all, and that you need each other to achieve the best possible end result. You know the construction industry and therefore also know that change takes time. This realistic view of the world means that you know exactly when to push ahead and when to stand back. This is how you work every day towards a better working and living environment for your clients and the users of their buildings.

Your work environment

There is no spare planet, and yet we are on the verge of damaging it irreversibly. So, it’s time for action. And in that action, Adamasgroup leads the way. As an engineering and consultancy firm, we focus on the optimal integration of sustainability in construction. And we go far in this. From the building materials used, to the air ventilation system applied, to the provision of measures for local nature values.

Doing things differently. Even if everyone thinks there is only one way to do it. That is our approach. Pragmatic, creative and progressive: these are our basic qualities. We are puzzlers, researchers and thinkers. No contemporary problem is too far-fetched for us. Within our complementary team, each colleague has one or more specialisms. Together, we form a strong knowledge based front.

You work in a relaxed environment where everyone prefers to wear jeans rather than trousers. Celebrating our successes together is also important to Adamasgroup. We regularly take a break from office life with a game of table football or tennis, and every Friday afternoon, we round off the week with a drink.
